JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Network Security Architect will share responsibility for designing cutting-edge, high performance, secure network solutions and drive those solutions to completion.
Ability to not only design but conduct hands-on configuration/implementation as required.
Provide guidance to L1/L2/L3 support engineers by assessing staff inputs and creatively suggesting workarounds or alternative methods.
Provide architectural/technical leadership for network design and implementation projects and drive solutions to completion
Provide network technical expertise to network security support and engineering resources
Responsible for detailed documentation of solutions
Able to analyze and communicate strengths and weaknesses of network technology solutions, relative to network security, performance and cost
Strong knowledge of Cisco and other enterprise-class data networking equipment and product lines.
Must have strong project management skills and proven ability to drive projects to completion
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including executive-level presentations
Able to work effectively in a highly complex and dynamic environment
Ensure that deliverables are produced within the planned budget and timeframe
Conduct routine hardware and software audits of all supported systems to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, procedures, and requirements
Travel required
KEY SKILLS:
CCNP R&S CCIE R&S and over 10+ years relevant experience, with very large-scale, international networks or with an product development
company.
Expert in NXOS and Cisco IOS L2, STP, VLANs and PVLANs, Spanning-Tree Protocols and Port-Channels
Expert in NXOS and Cisco IOS VRF, EIGRP, OSPF and BGP routing protocols
Expert in NXOS and Cisco IOS High Availability Features such as VPC , double sided VPC, and HSRP
Expert in NXOS and CISCO IOS QOS
Knowledge in Cisco wireless controllers and access points
Knowledge in F5 Load Balancer (LTM/GTM) technologies
