* Experience in Oracle backend/database testing required, scripting/programming skill in any language. OS - Ability to verify logs or troubleshoot in Windows/Unix OS environment. Adds value if can talk about event viewer, task manager, performance monitor in Windows.
* Requirements management and developing business scenarios from user stories or use cases. Creating test scenarios and test data.
* Creation of test strategy and plan, knowledge on testing levels, types (functional, performance, security, usability) testing methodologies, test environment planning for web applications. Defect triage and root cause analysis Experience in performing testing of web/device testing. Installation, configuration, troubleshooting of web applications. Project Management - Managing team, client communication, estimation/planning, execution control, reports, metrics, risk management, ability to execute independent testing engagement.

* Understand application testing requirements and test strategy
* Understand product / application features / requirements and define Test Strategy, Test Plan business scenarios and get signoff from clients
* Setup QA Environment and Test Data
* Sound knowledge of DBMS concepts
* Able to write complex queries; stored procedures
* Execute stores procedures/queries/views to validate data
* Good to have knowledge in Data warehouse concepts
* Should have strong experience in Oracle experience in defining test cases for data warehouse ETL solutions, executing and documenting them
* Experience in testing large, complex RDBMS solutions (preferably in ORACLE environment) in high-volume data environments, integrating various source systems.
This includes setting up and maintaining needed consistent and up-to date test data. Definition of a repeatable process to assure that high quality test data is available.
* A high degree of proficiency in (PL) SQL
* Excellent technical documentation skills
* General understanding of ETL tools, preferably AbInitio, and infrastructure
* Ability to work in UNIX / LINUX environment
* Good understanding of XML
* experience with Perl and shell-scripting in Unix and Linux environments
* Strong ability to deal with complexity and to summarize and communicate on a meaningful abstract level
* Use tools like Grid Tools for setting up test data and data quality analysis is preferred
* Experience test backend systems including running jobs/processes and validating outcome
* Planning all aspects of project including project plan, detailed WBS, resource needs
* Plan and perform knowledge transition sessions with client
* Establishes smooth communication channels with customer
* Mentor and train other team members on product/application features/functionality, user stories and use cases
* Identify appropriate tools to help with manual test execution
