Disrtibution packaging is a work stream belonging to EDC-NDC. The purpose of document is to present HLD for distribution packaging project. In this system take the purchage orders from the

Vendors. Every purchage order maintains unique product code (UPC). When the supplier is ready

To ship the goods, they will delivery a message based on purchage orders.The delivery message

Describes how dispatch the goods and their contents.

       

                       Data hub maintains UPC level carton data and BPM maintain standard carton data.

A Delivery can be shipped as a single Shipment if it is direct factory load. If the Delivery is too big to fit into one container, it will be split into several Shipments. Alternatively, several Inbound Deliveries for different POs and suppliers can be consolidated into one Shipment at a Consolidation Centre.
