You will be responsible for the development and execution of software test plans, methods and analysis of test results. You will estimate efforts, plan and accomplish the tasks within expected time frames contributing to overall efficiency of product development and quality. Key Responsibilities 1. Develop and execute functional/performance/system test cases to ensure product meets functional and design specifications. Responsible for the quality of the software product delivered. 2. Primary focus will be on the SMLC Server components. Utilize a combination of manual and automated test techniques as applicable.  3. Develop and execute software test plans, methods and carry out analysis of test results. 4. Report product bugs, bug isolation, verify fixed bugs and issue resolution. 5. Provide feedback to design reviews and test tool selections/improvements. Person Specification List details of Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Qualifications needed to do the job: Required: · ~3 to 8+ years experience in software QA/testing in various Unix (Linux, Solaris) environments with experience on telecom servers · BSCS/EE degree or equivalent · Extensive experience in developing test framework, test automation and tools for server backend client/server.  · Knowledge of C/C++ programming language with hands on experience in developing test tools/frameworks · Knowledge of Linux/ Unix and shell scripting · Knowledge of Perl / Python · Knowledge on performance tests and load tests with knowledge of tools like JMeter/Load runner/ tools to simulate load · Detail oriented, Self-Starter with strong work ethics. · Familiarity with various software development life cycle processes such as agile. · Clear understanding of issues related with system performance · Ability to estimate efforts, plan and accomplish the tasks within expected time frames contributing to overall efficiency of product development with quality. Good understanding of software metrices. Desired: · Experience of having worked on projects with multiple components · Experience on having worked on servers such as Tomcat/IBM Websphere .
