Role & Responsibilities:
•
As a Senior Java developer, the associate will be working with Trade
Control team and Valuations team in an Agile environment to deliver
enhancements to the application. He / She will have the opportunity to
contribute to the evolution of the system's architecture and technology,
as well as the continual improvement of development processes.
The job primarily involves
• Development in Java/J2EE on an in house developed application in an delivery-focused environment
• Second Level support for the same application.
Detailed skill set
Must Have:
• Minimum experience of 6 years with a reasonable subset of the following: ( 6 to 9 yrs) – Individual Contributor Role
- Core Java (1.5+): Multi threading, concurrency, annotations, collections, etc.
- Hibernate, Spring, Ant, Maven, Eclipse, Tomcat.
- J2EE, and related technologies including JMS, JSP, JSF.
- Relational databases and SQL (Oracle, SQL Server, HSQL).
- XML technologies including DTD/XSD, XPATH, Object XML mapping.
- Test-Driven Development: Unit testing (JUnit / Mock), Continuous Integration
• Knowledge of & experience working with common design patterns and industry standards.
• Strong communication, analysis and problem solving skills
• Quick to learn, self-motivated and enthusiastic
• Work well within a team environment, with minimal supervision
• Able to meet and deliver on deadlines and able to work well under pressure
Nice to have:
• Financial Derivatives / Securities knowledge and/or experience
• Exposure to any of the Agile methodologies
• Exposure to Python
