Job Description:
Test Lead
=========
This role coordinates all test management activities within the project. They are responsible for delivering the test project on time while meeting all quality objectives. Other responsibilities include development and sign off of the Master Test Plan, building the team, managing people and managing the relationship with other team leaders in the project. They are responsible for communicating the test project status, resolving the test project issues, and ensuring effective test process improvement feedback.

As Test Lead coordinates all test management activities within the delivery of a Managed Test Service or in support of a project. They are responsible for delivering the test project on time while meeting quality objectives. This role requires a combination of testing, project management and test consulting, and is generally customer facing.
The Test Lead is responsible for the following tasks:

- Own all aspects of running a Managed Test Service including customer satisfaction
- Develop the Test Strategy and Master Test Plan
- Build and implement the Detailed Test Plans for each required phase
- Build the team that will implement the Master Test Plan and the Detailed Test Plans
- Organise and manage off-shore delivery as required
- Manage the relationship with other team members in the project
- Communicate the test project status (detailed, and measurable) to the team members, to the customer, and to management
- Identify and resolve any test project issues
- Ensure effective test process improvement feedback by providing information back to process improvement groups
- Create project plan and schedule overall testing activities
- Implement an effective Defect Management Process
- Organise and manage test resources with the ability to recruit/engage resources
- Represent the testing elements of the programme to the customer and manage customer relationship for testing
- Assign roles and responsibilities to test team members
- Verify requirements testability
