Tech Analyst – SQL Server
Tech Analyst – SQL Server
Reporting to the Development Manager for the Application Development Group, the Tech Analyst would be responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring and supporting all database related modules which support the enterprise wide applications. Working closely with the Architecture, Development, and Project Fulfillment teams, Tech Analyst would have to document business requirements, develop standards and guidelines and generate database related objects and their estimates.
Responsibilities
• Design & develop DB solutions.
• Create or modify existing database objects.
• Test programs or databases, correct errors and make necessary modifications.
• Establish and tune performance of database objects for higher performance.
• Develop data model describing data elements and how they are used.
• Develop methods for integrating different products so they work properly together, such as customizing commercial databases to fit specific needs.
• Review project requests describing database user needs to estimate time required to accomplish project.
• Review procedures in database management system manuals for making changes to database.
• Work as part of a project team to coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations.
• Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions.
• Contribute to technical and system architectural planning and the development of innovative solutions for the business
• Work with the administration team to create and maintain best-practice standards and procedural guidelines

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of information systems design, implementation or integration experience)
• 5+ years experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2000 & 2005. Experience on SQL 2008 is desirable.
• Excellent T-SQL programming and development skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of information systems design, implementation or integration experience)
• 5+ years experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2000 & 2005. Experience on SQL 2008 is desirable.
